Our Client is an international Sports, Fitness and Wellness Group with a chain of Clubs in Italy.

For the newest club in Rome, we are recruiting an

ACCOUNTANT
Location: Central ROME

Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager Italy, the appointee will:

• Prepare and maintain the Rome Club’s accounting and reconciliations

• Manage a/c relating to the Club’s suppliers, salaries, expense reimbursements etc

• Prepare the balance sheet

• Contribute to the preparation of the monthly cash-flow and forecasts

• Support the Italy Finance Manager and the a/c team in the monthly reporting and preparation of the annual b/s

• Carry out periodic tax declarations such as VAT, Intrastat etc

• Liaise with the Group’s external tax and legal support firms, public authorities and organisations

• Make occasional visits to other clubs in Italy for training and internal meetings

• Communicate in English at international level within the Group

Candidate Profile

• University Degree in business or Finance-related studies; alternatively a High-School leaving certificate in accounting
• 3-5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience ideally from an international company

• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting standards

• Good English for in-company communication at international

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

• ERP knowledge and experience appreciated

• Experience from the hospitality or service sector appreciated

• Team-spirited, practical and keen to take on a challenge

• Able to work independently, organise priorities and respect deadlines

• Willing to visit occasionally the other clubs in Italy for training and meetings
