DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Mantova / Mantua 

RIF. C-1198

Role 

Reporting to a Team Leader, the appointee will 

• Contribute to project planning

• Select and size system components such as compressors, heat exchangers, piping

• Define and calculate the refrigeration cycle

• Define 3D modelling, 2D drawing and BOM coordinating internal and external designers

• Collaborate with the New Product Development Electrical department

• Prepare prototypes and supervise tests

• Prepare technical documentation

• Collaborate with Quality and After Sales for continuous product improvement

• Take part in periodic training and meetings at national and international / European level

Candidate Profile

• Degree-holder in Mechanical, Energy, Thermodynamic Engineering or similar

• Good spoken and written English

• 3-5+ years of relevant practical experience in a similar role

• Experience from within the refrigeration / thermodynamic sector appreciated

• Able to select and size the main components

• Knowledge of CAD sw; knowledge of Teamcenter plm software is a plus

• Flexible and willing to help coach, train and mentor junior engineers and colleagues

• Hands-on approach and able to react efficiently to changes and challenging issues

• Willing to become involved in different technical tasks as the team and R&D centre expand

• Analytical mindset

• Good communication skills

• Interested in developing professional competence and experience
